Public API reference

API reference

The Dilogs Application Programming Interface (API) has been created to let users and partners interact programmatically with Dilogs. The API returns Dilogs data in a form that can be easily integrated into an application or a web site. While the API is available for free to all our users (while don't exceed the restrictions of our Terms of use), its use is subject to acceptance of our API terms.

We intend to make most of the data on Dilogs.com available through the API. Currently, you can use the API to request very specific information about sites, users, buddies, events, members activity, comments, and divings.

Information for new developers

The API accepts REST requests and offers several response types: XML, and JSON.

If you are thinking about developing an application using our API, first you need to get a application's key. This unique key will allow you to interact with our system. This is the only way we have to control applications developed by 3rd parties that communicate with our service.
